Our main purpose is to improve literacy outcomes in students (PreK-12) and adults through Teacher/Leadership Professional Learning, embedded classroom instructional coaching, leadership consulting and creating sustainable literacy systems for education entities (at the individual classroom, school, district and state level)

Initially starting out as a speech-language therapy company specializing in speech-language intervention, assessment and literacy tutoring, our founder realized that literacy was the gateway that makes all other learning possible. The company has progressed to grounding all of our work in the Science of Reading, structured literacy, and evidence-based practices — with a focus on practical application that transforms classrooms, schools, leaders, teachers and most importantly, students.
We partner with schools and districts to strengthen literacy outcomes by building educator expertise, sharpening instructional practice, and developing strong literacy leadership. Initially starting out as a Speech-Language therapy company specializing in speech-language intervention, assessment and literacy tutoring, our founder, Dr. Monica Covington-Cradle, believes that literacy is the gateway that makes all other learning possible. Dr. Covington-Cradle, a licensed speech-language pathologist and literacy consultant, brings over 22 years of professional experience to her work. Her diverse career has seen her work with a range of populations, from neurologically impaired adults to PreK-12 developmentally delayed students and those with language-based literacy delays.

Dr. Monica Covington-Cradle, a licensed speech-language pathologist and literacy consultant, brings over 22 years of professional experience to her work. Her diverse career has seen her work with a range of populations, from neurologically impaired adults to PreK-12 developmentally delayed students and those with language-based literacy delays. Dr. Monica Covington-Cradle’s academic journey is equally impressive, having earned her Bachelor of Science in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology from Towson University, her M.S. degree from The University of the District of Columbia and her Doctor of Education in Reading Science from Mount St. Joseph University in Cincinnati, OH.
